A section of the M60 is closed following a serious crash involving a HGV which has shed metal bars onto the carriageway.The motorway is closed between junction six, for Rifle Road in Sale, to junction eight in Carrington.Emergency services were called to the incident at around 2.30am on Thursday morning (June 11).It is unknown at this stage if anybody has been injured.North West Motorway Police (NWMP) said a HGV has lost it's load of steel bars on the anticlockwise lane under the bridge at junction eight.Clear up and recovery is underway.Trapped vehicles were released and turned around earlier this morning.A diversion route has been set up with drivers advised to follow the hollow black square, exit the motorway at junction six and follow.
