Lucy Liu is opening up about the opportunities she lost out on due to systemic racism early in her career. During an interview with the Sydney Morning Herald, the 51-year-old Why Women Kill actress revealed that she didn’t get a lot of auditions when she first started out, compared to her white friend, who was going to double the auditions. “I think I was just too naive and didn’t know what was ahead of me or what I was going to be up against,” Lucy shared in the feature, seeing herself not as driven, but unsuspicious. “I had some idea when I got to LA, because a friend of mine would have 10 auditions in a day or a week and I would have maybe two or three in a month, so I knew it was going to be much more limited for me.” She goes on,
