A total of 4,213 people have died of confirmed or suspected coronavirus in Scotland.The figures, updated by the National Records of Scotland (NRS), show that these deaths have been officially recorded as of August 12.
The weekly statistics account for all deaths registered in Scotland where Covid-19 is mentioned on the death certificate. They include all suspected and probable cases of the virus in hospitals and so differ from daily figures released by the Scottish Government.
