Laura Whitmore has reflected on the resilience she’s built up since taking the helm of Love Island after show ‘queen’ Caroline Flack, before heading into a pandemic and finding the programme shelved until 2021.The presenter – who was recently announced as an ambassador for the Virgin Money Emerging Stars programme – took the reins of the ITV programme for its first winter series earlier this year, after original show host Caroline, who tragically died in February, had earlier stepped down.Laura was immediately met with love from fans, but has spoken about the pressure in taking over what is arguably one of the biggest shows on television.Speaking now about the massive undertaking it was, and what she learned during the process, she tells.
