Lorry load of McVitie's biscuits causes travel chaos after huge spillage on country road

Drivers heading along a country road had their rush hour plans chewed up when a lorry load of biscuits spilled onto the ground.Packets and some crumbs from several McVitie's brands could be seen strewn across Ilkeston Road in Sandiacre, Derbyshire following a malfunction on the outside of the heavy goods vehicle.Traffic was affected in both directions by the unusual incident around 5pm on Monday (April 4), DerbyshireLive reports.One image from the roadside depicted a scene of crunchy chaos as the blue lorry was trailed by large numbers of Ginger Nuts, many of which had been flung out of their packets and onto the tarmac.
