Lorraine Kelly was forced to apologise for on-air spelling error after viewers pointed out the blunder on Wednesday’s edition of the show.The presenter, 61, addressed the comments from fans on social media live on the ITV programme after the typo was spotted during the latest news bulletin.The clip focused on Tom Cruise’s surprise appearance in North Yorkshire while he was filming for Mission Impossible seven.The ITV show, Lorraine, wrote "Yorkhire" instead of "Yorkshire" which upset those who hail from the historic county in Northern England.

After the issue was brought to the attention of the producers of the show, Lorraine joked that the "person responsible will be flogged." She said: “" have to say a huge apology to everybody in.
