Lorraine Kelly has warned that Boris Johnson's refusal to sack Dominic Cummings has "eroded trust" in the government. The 60-year-old, who hit out at the prime minister's senior aide yesterday for his "breathtaking arrogance", also suggested that the government was now "relying on the public getting bored".
Appearing on Good Morning Britain today, Lorraine gave her opinion on Cummings' press conference yesterday in which he explained his reasons for driving from London to Durham despite lockdown.
During the conference, Cummings said that he did not regret his actions, nor did he apologise for what he had done. He also insisted that he acted "responsibly" and within the law.
