Loose Women star Linda Robson claimed it was "unfortunate" that Prince Andrew walked alongside Her Majesty The Queen at a memorial service for Prince Philip. The Duke of York who resigned from public duty after settling a US civil court case was seen in public for the first time alongside members of The Royal Family on Tuesday (March 29).Andrew and his relatives joined dignitaries and royals from across Europe as they paid tribute to his late father, Prince Philip, who died in April 2021 aged 99.There had been plans in place for The Queen, 96, to walk alongside the Dean of Westminster as she entered the ceremony but these plans changed at the last minute after Andrew met his mother at her home, Windsor Castle.During Wednesday's (March 30) instalment, anchor Christine Lampard asked her co-panellists Janet Street-Porter and Linda Robson their thoughts on Andrew attending.Janet said: "It would have been a really tough day for her [the Queen], I think in terms of the image of the message it sends across to the rest of us, I suppose what it says is he is her favourite son, everybody knows that it's been reported many, many times."I just think it was a bit unfortunate but obviously it's her choice, the Dean of Westminster was meant to accompany the Queen when she got out of the car and take her to her seat."Andrew went to Windsor Castle, met the Queen and they changed cars at Buckingham Palace so he went with her every step of the way and he has been visiting her at Windsor Castle on a daily basis."Not only is there a close relationship but he's been there for her."While Linda added: "She was a woman mourning her husband and whether it was Andrew, whether it was Edward or Charles, it was Andrew."Unfortunately it was Andrew.
