MAMAMOO member Moonbyul has announced her upcoming solo 2024 ‘Museum: An Epic of Starlit’ world tour, featuring concerts in Taiwan, Singapore and more.MAMAMOO’s Moonbyul revealed the first set of dates for her newly announced 2024 ‘Museum: An Epic of Starlit’ world tour today (February 29), through the girl group’s official social media accounts.The K-pop idol will kick-off her solo world tour this March with a two-night concert at the KBS Arena in Seoul, South Korea. In the following month, the musician will perform shows in the cities of Taipei, Singapore and Hong Kong.Moonbyul’s solo tour will run into May 2024, with two concerts in Japan, as well as a second show in Taiwan.

Folk horror film “The Soul Reaper,” currently in the final stages of post-production, was licensed to GaragePlay for Taiwan and to Westec Media Limited (WML) for Laos, Cambodia and nine other Southeast Asian territories. The film, adapted from Thao Trang’s best-selling horror novel “Lunar New Year in Hell Village” (aka “Tet O Lang Dia Nguc”), is set to be released in Vietnam cinemas on 08 December. GaragePlay is one of Taiwan’s leading distributors, and recently handles releases of “Suzume,” “John Wick: Chapter 4” and “Someday or One Day.” WML is the biggest content distributor in Cambodia and has distributed more than 1,000 titles theatrically since its establishment.

WOODZ has announced his 2023 ‘OO-LI And’ world tour.The K-pop musician is set to kick off his ‘OO-LI And’ tour with a two-night concert in Seoul, South Korea on October 28 and 29. WOODZ will then play three shows in Japan in early-November, as well as one concert in Taiwan.At the start of end of November, the singer kick off the US leg of his tour, which will feature six shows over two weeks in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and more.

The 1975 have axed the remaining dates on their Asian tour following a performance in Malaysia in which frontman Matty Healy protested anti-LGBTQ laws in the country, leading to their set being cut short by organizers. The band's performance at Kuala Lumpur’s Good Vibes festival on Friday, July 21, was brought to an abrupt end after Healy spoke about his conflicted feelings while on stage in a country where same-sex relationships are illegal and those convicted can be imprisoned.

Luke Evans (“Murder Mystery,” “Nine Perfect Strangers”) and Taiwanese female actor Gwei Lun-mei (“Black Coal, Thin Ice,” “Girlfriend, Boyfriend”) will co-star in “Weekend Escape Project,” an action thriller being produced in Taiwan by Luc Besson’s EuropaCorp.  The film marks a further comeback for EuropaCorp after a four-year hiatus that followed Besson’s personal travails and financial difficulties at the company. Besson and Virginie Besson-Silla are producing the movie for EuropaCorp. Kinology is handling international sales.

The three-day mini festival will run Aug. 18-20 and be put together in association with local organizer G2Go Entertainment. The event will showcase a handful of films curated by the Sundance Institute and host a short film competition that is open only to Taiwanese productions. Panel discussions will accompany the festival to foster artistic exchange, providing opportunities for the Taiwan film industry to connect with Sundance’s executive team, and elevating Taiwan’s image and presence in the global independent film industry.
