Discovery CEO David Zaslav was met with heavy jeering while delivering a commencement speech at Boston University amidst the ongoing Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike in Hollywood.During the graduation ceremony at Boston University – where he received his law degree in 1985 – Zaslav was invited back to receive an honorary degree, as well as to deliver a commencement speech to the graduation cohort.Per reports from The Hollywood Reporter, the jeering began even before Zaslav’s speech, when he was being introduced. Throughout his 20-minute speech, Zaslav was met with loud, angry boos and chants including “pay your writers”, “we don’t want you here” and “shut up, Zaslav” in support of the ongoing strike.Footage of the boos and “pay your writers” chants were captured and shared on Twitter by striking Late Night with Seth Meyers writer Mike Scollins.

Everything Everywhere All At Once will not be getting a sequel, Michelle Yeoh has seemingly confirmed.Speaking during Variety‘s Kering Women in Motion talks at Cannes, Michelle Yeoh shut down talks of a sequel to the celebrated film, which won the award Best Picture at this year’s Academy Awards.“There’s no sequel,” Yeoh announced during her talk with Variety. “We would just be doing the same thing.”Yeoh went on to say that the film proved that audiences are hungry for fresh concepts in Hollywood, and aren’t interested in rehashing old ideas: “It’s just a matter of pushing the envelope and refusing to say that this is the ‘normal way.’ In the ‘normal way,’ would ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’ would have been nominated? Chances are no, five to ten years ago.”Yeoh also revealed that since starring in Everything Everywhere All At Once, she has seen improvements across Hollywood, saying that she has since received scripts that don’t describe characters “as a Chinese or Asia-looking person”.Everything Everywhere All At Once, which is now the world’s most-awarded movie ever, also clinched several top prizes at this year’s Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Original Screenplay and Best Film Editing.Everything Everywhere All At Once was also named NME‘s Film Of The Year.

Played by Leonardo DiCaprio, Dalton starred as the lead in “Bounty Law” before pivoting to several smaller Western films and series including “Nebraska Jim” and “Tanner.” Tarantino announced the character’s death via tweet through The Video Archives, a podcast co-hosted by the director and his “Pulp Fiction” co-writer Roger Avary. “We are saddened by the news of the passing of actor Rick Dalton, best known for his roles in the hit TV series ‘Bounty Law’ and ‘The Fireman’ trilogy.”

As the flamboyant, self-absorbed Jack McFarland, he delivered some of the series’ best comedic moments, earning an Emmy award and launching him to household notoriety.Devoted Broadway audiences may have seen him as leading man Chuck Baxter in the 2010 revival of Promises, Promises. That scored him his first Tony nomination.
