Coventry City were forced to cancel their first home game of the season after officials found the pitch unfit to host a football match.The EFL Championship side were set to host newly promoted Rotherham at the Coventry Building Society Arena but officials found the pitch to be "unsafe and unplayable" ahead of kick-off. The inspection came after the stadium had been used to host the Commonwealth Games rugby sevens matches while the Sky Blues played out a 1-1 draw with Sunderland at the Stadium of Light last week.
