Liverpool may be forced to spend more than they would like to sign a defender in January after the injuries to Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is dealing with an injury crisis in defence with Van Dijk, Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold all on the sidelines.It means Liverpool are all but certain to enter the tricky January transfer market for a new defender, with clubs well aware of their desperation.Liverpool signed Van Dijk in 2018 for £75million, which is now considered to be a bargain after the transformative effect he had on the defence.The likes of Ben White, Dayot Upamecano and Ozan Kabak have all been linked with a move to Anfield.Under transfer chief Michael Edwards, the recruitment at Liverpool in recent years.
