Liverpool got most of their transfer business done long before transfer deadline day, completing deals for Diogo Jota, Kostas Tsimikas and Thiago, while none of the rumoured big-money deadline day sales materialised after Rhian Brewster’s switch to Sheffield United on Friday.
Sunday’s heavy defeat by Aston Villa didn’t prompt the Reds to make any last-minute panic buys, though they still have until October 16 to do business - incoming or outgoing - with clubs in the EFL.
The coming days and weeks will also prompt the usual discussions about what Liverpool might get up to in future windows, of course - especially with an international break ensuring there’s less to discuss in terms of Premier League results.
