Xherdan Shaqiri is the one player Andy Lonergan didn't want to come up against at Liverpool training, claims the outgoing goalkeeper.
Lonergan arrived at Melwood to help solve the Reds' crisis in between the sticks. Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane are the headline names at Anfield having scored 57 goals between them this season.
But Lonergan was not surprised by their quality, no doubt in part down to how evident their talent is, but did confess that he always hoped to be on the same side as Swiss star Shaqiri in training. "No-one's surprised me because they're all unreal," Lonergan told The Liverpool Echo. "The one I really don't like facing is Shaqiri.
