Football fans could be back in Premier League grounds within weeks – with the Community Shield at Wembley targeted as the first official return.
A friendly between two Premier League sides is being considered to test the introduction of socially distanced football crowds.
If not, the FA are ready to volunteer Wembley as the perfect venue for spectators to come back with Liverpool set to face the FA Cup winners in the Community Shield on the weekend of August 29.
The FA Cup final itself, on August 1, has already been ruled out as a test event as it is considered to be too soon to organise the new protocols necessary.
