Liverpool have had a £10m bid for Jamal Lewis rejected. The 22-year-old defender has made it clear to his club Norwich that he wants the chance to play for the Champions, but they value him at twice that figure.
The Reds made a formal move on Friday afternoon, placing their offer on record, as they attempt to thrash out a deal. And Mirror Sport understands the Canaries are already looking at replacements for the Northern Ireland international, after Lewis turned down an improved offer to stay at the club.
While Norwich will hope to press the eventual price up, they are under no illusions that it will be hard to keep the left back, given the chance he has to play under Jurgen Klopp.
