'Lifelong friends' killed in car collision after day out Christmas shopping

Two "lifelong friends" were tragically killed in a car collision as they made their way home after a day out Christmas shopping.

Ellie Crossley and Rebecca Doughty, both aged 20, were travelling home in a silver Citreon car on November 25 when they were involved in a crash with a BMW.

Emergency services rushed to the scene near Capenhurst in Cheshire at approximately 9.28pm when on arrival, officers discovered there had been a collision, Liverpool Echo reports.However, the two women were sadly pronounced dead at the scene.The heartbroken families of Ellie and Rebecca have now paid an emotional tribute to the "close friends" and said that they were "devastated" following their deaths.They said: “Ellie Crossley, from Holywell, and Rebecca
