Liam Gallagher has announced he will be performing a free arena concert for NHS staff later this year. The former Oasis frontman will play at London's O2 on October 29 to say thank you to doctors, nurses and other health and care workers battling the COVID-19 pandemic.
Announcing the news today, he tweeted: "It's an honour to announce that I will be doing a gig for the NHS and careworkers at London’s TheO2 on October 29th.
They do an incredible job, we are very lucky to have them. LG x." The Burnage-born singer has previously appealed to brother Noel for an Oasis reunion gig once the current crisis is under the control - but there's been silence so far from Noel's camp.
