Liam Gallagher
William John Paul Gallagher (born 21 September 1972) is an English singer and songwriter. He rose to fame as the lead singer of the rock band Oasis in the 1990s and 2000s, and later fronted the rock band Beady Eye in the early 2010s, before beginning a solo career after the dissolution of both bands. One of the most recognisable figures in British music, he is noted for his outspoken and abrasive manner; penchant for wearing parkas; distinctive singing style, in which he elongates vowels; and signature stance on stage, which consists of him holding his arms behind his back and singing up into a downward-facing microphone.

manchestereveningnews.co.ukLiam Gallagher has announced he will be performing a free arena concert for NHS staff later this year. The former Oasis frontman will play at London's O2 on October 29 to say thank you to doctors, nurses and other health and care workers battling the COVID-19 pandemic.
Announcing the news today, he tweeted: "It's an honour to announce that I will be doing a gig for the NHS and careworkers at London’s TheO2 on October 29th.
They do an incredible job, we are very lucky to have them. LG x." The Burnage-born singer has previously appealed to brother Noel for an Oasis reunion gig once the current crisis is under the control - but there's been silence so far from Noel's camp.
