Liam Gallagher slams singer Mark Lanegan for claims he swerved a fight with him

Liam Gallagher took aim at singer Mark Lanegan in his latest Twitter spat. The songwriter, 47, turned his attention to the rival singer, of the Screaming Trees band, for his latest stinging attack.

Claims emerged the former Oasis star bowed out of a US tour to dodge a planned fight with the Screaming Trees singer, 55, in 1996.

In a foul-mouthed tirade, Liam lashed out as he brushed off the claims by saying the American rocker was just trying to flog another book.

He wrote: "Mark lannegn here’s how I saw it I asked you your bands name I was f****** around and called it something else you being an upiight junkie and not having a sense of humour got your little grungy knickers in a twist another b*******er trying to sell a book LG x." (sic)
