Liam Gallagher has described the moment he took a combine harvester so that he could go on a midnight spying mission. The Oasis frontman was in the process of laying down the tracks for the band's defining debut, Definitely Maybe, when he decided that he wanted to see what Stone Roses were up to.
His fellow Mancunians were at their countryside recording studio when Liam thought he would see what they were up to in the dead of night and there was only one vehicle available to help do the job.
Speaking in an interview for BBC Four show Rockfield: The Studio On The Farm, Liam revealed how he took the huge farm vehicle on a rumble through the countryside to the band's studio in Monmouthshire.
