THE country’s first ever virtual festival kicks off from Thursday – as big-name acts perform intimate sets alongside up-and-coming stars to help boost their careers.
The Barclaycard-backed Share The Stage gigs, recorded over the past two weeks, will be beamed into your living rooms over July and August.
You can view on YouTube and at barclaycard.co.uk as they land. Acts including Lewis Capaldi, Kaiser Chiefs, Bastille and Mabel have joined the party, each recording at London’s iconic Abbey Road studios alongside a rising star.
The shows, all to be presented by Fearne Cotton, will let fans see their favourite musicians from the comfort of their sofas after Covid-19 put paid to live festivals and tours this summer.
