Manchester United winger Daniel James reportedly wants to remain at Old Trafford this summer, effectively ending Leeds United 's attempts to sign the Wales international on loan.
Daily Star Sport revealed earlier this month that Marcelo Bielsa's side were interested in bringing James to Elland Road on loan and Brighton and Hove Albion also emerged as contenders for the forward.
However, Football Insider are reporting that the player has told United he intends to fight for his place at the club and as a result a loan move now appears to be off the table.
Bielsa is looking to sign a winger and a creative player and a £15m deal for Norwich's Todd Cantwell is thought to be close, after Leeds made an official bid and the 22-year-old was left out.
