Leeds United have stepped up their interest in £20m-rated defender Robin Koch as their chances of signing Ben White have dwindled.The Englishman spent last season on loan at Elland Road from Brighton, helping Marcelo Bielsa’s side return to the Premier League after 16 years.
It has seen them put in three offers for the 22-year-old, with the latest coming in at £25m last week. But Brighton have put roadblocks over the deal as they do not want to strengthen an immediate top-flight rival ahead of a potential relegation battle.
And Sky Sports have reported that Leeds have given up their hopes of signing the defender, shifting their focus to SC Freiburg’s Koch.
