Salford Red Devils skipper Lee Mossop has been forced to retire with immediate effect on medical advice due to ongoing shoulder problems.
The 32-year-old former England prop, who joined Salford in 2017 from Wigan Warriors and became captain the following year, has undergone 11 shoulder reconstructions during his career.
Mossop has played a pivotal role in changing the fortunes of Salford, helping them to THE 2019 Grand Final and 2020 Challenge Cup final.
