Lebanon's health minister has said the country's "whole government" has resigned in the wake of the deadly explosion in Beirut last week.
The port warehouse explosion of over 2,000 tonnes of ammonium nitrate killed at least 163 and injured 6,000, destroying swathes of the bustling Mediterranean capital, adding to months of political and economic meltdown.
Public anger has swelled over the possibility that government negligence was behind the catastrophe. The cabinet, formed in January with the backing of the powerful Iranian-backed Hezbollah group and its allies, met on Monday, with many ministers wanting to resign, ministerial and political sources told Reuters.
