A leading MP has accused Premier League chief executive Richard Masters of failing - and demanded he force top flight clubs to get players to take wage cuts.

Julian Knight, chairman of the Government's 'Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee', has accused Masters of allowing his organisation to set the wrong example while the sporting world tries to deal with the coronavirus crisis.

Now he has ordered him to agree a deal with top flight clubs over wage cuts and make clear his plan by Tuesday - or face immediate action from the Government.
