The Late Late Show launched its new season with a bang with appearances from Olympic champions to pop icons and the show also included a rousing tribute to the late and great Irish musician Dolores O’Riordan.
Ryan Tubridy was joined in the studio by Eileen O’Riordan, the mother of the late Cranberries singer, along with her former bandmate, drummer Fergal Lawler.
Viewers were treated to a spine-tingling rendition of a couple of the songs from the acclaimed Irish rock group including Dreams, Linger and Zombie which was backed by the Irish Chamber Orchestra.
During the moving segment, Eileen gave fans an insight into her daughter’s life from the day she was welcomed into the world to her immense natural talent.
