The new season of the Late Late Show started in a rather unexpected fashion on Friday as Ryan Tubridy held his own form of Carpool Karaoke with a very special guest: Olympic champion Kellie Harrington.

Kicking off the opening show of the season, the RTÉ star gave the golden girl a lift to a wedding, picking her up along her native Portland Row in Dublin.

Tubs started the journey on a light-hearted note, acting as DJ he turned on Hakuna Matata from The Lion King on the radio and both he and and the Dublin sports star showed off their dulcet tones.

While being chauffeured, Kellie opened up about her plans for what the future holds for her in sport and revealed she’s made a very big decision.
