Prince Andrew is reportedly gearing up to spend the summer with his closest family at Balmoral. It is believed King Charles's brother will retreat to the Scottish estate with his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, their daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, along with his grandchildren for a much-needed family gathering.
A source disclosed that after becoming quite the homebody at Royal Lodge in Windsor since last year, Andrew is excited about the getaway. "Andrew has hardly left Royal Lodge since Christmas so he's very much looking forward to getting away with the rest of the family at Balmoral," the source claimed. They also mentioned how Andrew's hibernation has concerned his daughters, who believe that Balmoral's family vibes could perk him up: "He's turned into a bit of a recluse, so the girls are hoping that some nice family time with the children will help cheer him up a bit and bring him out of his shell." The Prince and Princess of Wales and their three children will also be travelling to the annual Royal retreat.
However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will not be there. A source said that King Charles, 75, and Kate Middleton, 42, are hoping for some undisturbed familial bliss after a year peppered with challenges: "Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not be joining the rest of the Royal Family," reports the Express.
