It looks like Prince Andrew may get to continue living at Royal Lodge on the Windsor Park estate, despite rumours that his older brother King Charles is keen for him to vacate the sprawling and decaying 30 room home for a smaller property.

It is believed that the King would like Andrew to move somewhere else, such as Frogmore Cottage, so Charles’s son Prince William and daughter-in-law Kate and their three children can move into Royal Lodge.

However, in an exclusive interview with OK!, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond explained that the Prince and Princess of Wales may not want to move from their own cosy four bedroom house on the estate, Adelaide Cottage. “I don’t think William and Catherine are in any rush to uproot their little family and move into a new house, especially with everything else that is going on in their lives,” Jennie said. “I think they relish the idea of bringing up the family in relatively modest circumstances, making the children feel less set apart from their friends at school.

Royal Lodge is evidently quite a major undertaking with huge overheads to repair and maintain it.” Sign up to OK!'s royal newsletter to get updates sent to your inbox for free Andrew has lived at the house for more than 20 years, but because he is no longer a working royal, he is not funded by the public and has been finding it difficult to cover the cost of the annual £400,000 repairs and maintenance on the property.
