A Buckingham Palace statement said the King will undergo a “corrective procedure” next week and will postpone public engagements for a short while. “In common with thousands of men each year, the King has sought treatment for an enlarged prostate,” the statement said.
King Charles is 75 and became King last year upon the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II. Middleton, meanwhile, has had abdominal surgery in London and won’t be seen in public for months.
A statement from Kensington Palace, where she used to reside, said the wife of Prince William will not return to public duties “until after Easter,” a lengthy time out the limelight.
