North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un is said to be preparing his military forces amid a "changing international situation" and could send forces to the South. The despot is said to be telling military officials to perform supply checks and ensure the military is ready to fight a war with South Korea.Orders of a military inspection are said to be used to distract from North Korea's ongoing economic turmoil, one source has claimed. The claim comes after the Central Committee of the ruling Korean Workers' Party ordered each province, city and county to take stock and check on their strategic supplies. The inspection was ordered to every unit and Civil Defense Departments across the country. An unnamed source said the unplanned inspection of strategic supplies would contribute to the "increasingly deteriorating international situation" between North and South Korea. They said: "It is to prepare a full-scale combat readiness posture that can quickly respond to any situation."The move is aimed at strengthening the national defence power in response to the increasingly deteriorating international situation and the sharp military confrontation between the two Koreas."Military units have reportedly been asked to take stock of ammunition, uniforms and foodstuff.

The unnamed source, who could not be named for security reasons, added: "Residents think that the sudden inspection, although under the pretext of tensions, is actually aimed at creating an atmosphere of war to distract them from economic hardship."Officials in the propaganda and agitation sector are arguing that the situation will be tense because the new president elected in the South Korean presidential election is a bad president who wants to confront us."Another source.
