Kilmarnock on lockdown: Five eerie pictures of life in a ghost town

They are scenes that some thought they’d never witness in their lifetime. Usually busy streets, roads and shops were devoid of people in Kilmarnock last week as the town got used to life on lockdown.

Kilmarnock Standard photographer Chloe Adams headed out to some familiar spots to capture these truly unique moments in Killie’s history.

The town centre was eerily quiet with only a handful of shoppers cautiously milling around.Roads were also deserted when our pictures were taken.
