R&B star Kelis has accused Beyoncé of theft — by sampling one of her songs on her new album without permission. The Milkshake singer, 42, branded the star “disrespectful” for using October 2000 number Get Along with You on a track called Energy.
On the track listing on Renaissance, Beyoncé is credited as a co-writer with Happy star Pharrell Williams and US music producer Chad Hugo.
Kelis learned of the sampling from a fan page post saying she had collaborated with Beyoncé. In an Instagram video, she raged: “It is not a collaboration. "It is called thievery.
