Kate’s husband remains in intensive care in hospital and is recovering from the effects of coronavirus, after beating the disease.
Speaking to her co-host Adil Ray on Good Morning Britain on Wednesday 19 August, Kate revealed she and her two children Darcey, 14, and Bill, 11, were forced to celebrate her beloved husband’s birthday apart over the weekend.
Kate revealed Derek turned 53 on Saturday 15 August and said: “It was Derek’s birthday on Saturday, which is obviously a challenging one under the circumstances.
