Text messages between employees of the management company in charge of Lil Peep's final tour, First Access Entertainment (FAE), have been unsealed in Peep's mother Liza Womack's wrongful death case against the corporation, Pitchfork reports. The messages were included in a 372-page document Womack submitted to Los Angeles County's Superior Court on January 28, and will be reviewed today in a hearing on an FAE motion for summary judgement.

He was acquitted on a sixth charge.Smollett faced six counts of “disorderly conduct,” a Class 4 felony in Illinois — a relatively minor offense.

With the defense and the prosecution resting their respective cases earlier this week, closing arguments are set to begin Wednesday morning in the case against former "Empire" actor Jussie Smollett.  Smollett, who is Black and gay, is accused of staging a racist, homophobic hate crime against himself in downtown Chicago in January 2019. Brothers Abimbola and Olabingo Osundairo, who worked with the actor on the TV show, claim that he paid them money to carry out the attack and even ran them through a "dry run" of the incident days prior.

A second man testified Thursday that Jussie Smollett plotted a racist and anti-gay attack on himself and paid the man and his brother to carry it out, giving them lines to shout and pointing out a surveillance camera the former “Empire” actor said would capture the hoax on video to use for publicity.
