Johnny Depp has told a court he recorded many of his arguments with his ex-wife Amber Heard to remind her of what was said. The actor, 57, is suing News Group Newspapers over a story published in The Sun in 2018 which branded him a "wife beater" - which he denies.
The trial kicked off at London's High Court this morning, with both Depp and Heard, 34, arriving for the start of proceedings.
Depp took the stand to begin his testimony and is expected to spend around three days giving evidence. This morning, he told the court he frequently recorded conversations with Heard to remind her what had been said.
