Johnny Depp's former partners Vanessa Paradis and Winona Ryder will no longer be testifying at his libel trial. Depp, 57, returned to London's High Court today as his libel case against News Group Newspapers continues.
The actor is suing NGN over a story published in The Sun in 2018 which branded him a "wife beater" - a claim which he strenuously denies.
Paradis had been due to giving evidence via video-link from her home in France today, while Ryder had also been due to testify, However, Depp's lawyer David Sherborne has confirmed that despite the actor's wishes, he no longer needs to call Paradis and Ryder.
