John Boyega has been branded a hero by fans after his impassioned and moving speech during the Black Lives Matter rally at London's Hyde Park.

The 28-year-old Star Wars actor has received widespread praise and support after his meaningful and rousing address at the anti-racism demonstration which took place on Wednesday.

He passionately told the 15,000-strong crowds who were protesting after the death of George Floyd : "Black lives have always mattered. "We have always been important.

We have always meant something. We have always succeeded regardless. And now is the time. I ain't waiting. "We are a physical representation of our support for George Floyd.
