Jet2 cancels more holidays to Spain's Balearic Islands and Canary Islands

Jet2 has extended the suspension of flights and holidays to to the Balearic Islands and Canary Islands until August 16. The tour operator made the decision after the Foreign Office continued to advise against all non-essential travel to mainland Spain and the Spanish Islands.

It had previously been set to resume trips to the islands on August 11, and to mainland Spain on August 19. Jet2 has warned that more holidays could be cancelled if the travel ban continues.

And holidaymaker's start dates are set to be staggered - most likely to cut the costs of flying planes out to the destination.

On July 30, Jet2 announced it was flying holidaymakers home early, with holidaymakers forced to pay out for more flights after their initial return journey
