Jeremy Clarkson is set to go from Top Gear to Top Beer – after applying for an alcohol licence for his farm shop. The Grand Tour presenter, 60, wants to serve well-heeled Cotswolds shoppers from 9am-11pm.
Clarkson, opened his Diddly Squat Farm Shop in Chadlington, Oxfordshire, last February. He lives with girlfriend Lisa Hogan on the 312-acre farm, bought in 2012 for £4.25million.
Clarkson applied for permission to open a cafe next-door to the farm shop last November. Now the Mirror can reveal he wants to sell alcohol in both venues.
He has promised all beer, wine and spirits will be locally-sourced and produced. But some locals are up in arms over his definition of ‘local’.
