Jay Z has called for politicians and law makers in America to prosecute the killers of George Floyd “to the fullest extent of the law.” The 50-year-old musician – real name Shawn Carter – called Minnesota Governor Tim Waltz over the weekend to appeal to him to use all powers available to prosecute those who contributed to the death of Mr Floyd, who died last week aged 46 after a police officer knelt on his neck for more than eight minutes.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday, the chart topping star – who is married to singer Beyonce Knowles, 38, and is father to daughters Blue Ivy, eight, and two-year-old twins Rumi and Sir – shared details of his conversation with the Governor.
