A loving dog has been filmed grooming a baby aardwolf who lost his birth mum in a predator attack. Nati the Jack Russell mix has a very important role as a foster mum for animals at Naankuse Wildlife Sanctuary in Namibia, as shown in C5's Dogs With Extraordinary Jobs tonight.
In the beautiful clip, the dog is seen licking the ears of the tiny cub, just weeks old, who rolls over to have his belly washed by dutiful Nati.
The tiny aardwolf also jumps on Nati playfully as he grows in confidence and thrives under his unlikely foster mum's love and care.
Marlice van Vuuren, the animal sanctuary founder, said that the dog provides a maternal love that humans alone couldn’t provide for the orphaned animals.
