ITV postpones The Voice as part of plans to deal with coronavirus

EXCLUSIVE: As it approaches the launch of its free, ad-supported streaming service, Chicken Soup for the Soul has set content deals with Kin and Reel One Entertainment and lined up a slate of originals.

After teasing fans with quick glimpses over the past several months, Focus Features today revealed the full official trailer for Downton Abbey: A New Era. The follow-up to 2019’s feature adaptation of the beloved TV series appears to have two major plot strands, one involving a mystery and the other a movie; there’s also a wedding afoot. U.K. TV giant ITV, led by CEO Carolyn McCall, on Wednesday reported a first-quarter revenue drop of 7 percent driven by a big decline at production arm ITV Studios.

THE British government is thought to be in talks with ITV over how the network can continue production on Coronation Street and Emmerdale amid coronavirus social distancing rules. Filming on all TV productions - including BBC and Channel 4 soaps EastEnders and Hollyoaks - has been halted, but ITV’s chief executive Carolyn McCall has now claimed that the government is "keen" to bring the soaps back as a way to help keep the public entertained.

Coronation Street and Emmerdale could be back on our screens sooner than thought, if the government have their way amid the fight against coronavirus.

U.K. TV giant ITV has offered marketers discounts and other incentives if they make advertising bookings amid the coronavirus pandemic, according to sources.

The leaders of broadcasters BBC, Channel 4 and ITV have united to apply pressure on the U.K. government for expansive economic measures for the self-employed — a highly anticipated directive due Thursday.

U.K. TV giant ITV, led by CEO Carolyn McCall, said it would pull its dividend and make other cost savings, including in program spending,amid the new coronavirus, which it says has had an "increasing" impact on its advertising revenue.
