ITV’s Chief Executive Carolyn McCall has said that the station is saddened by her death and are ‘absolutely focused’ on taking care of the cast members on their programmes.
The Press Association reported that Carolyn, who has held the position at ITV since 2018, spoke about Caroline’s death by suicide at a recent Enders’ and Deloitte’s Media And Telecoms 2020 and Beyond conference in London.
Carolyn said: ‘I think the thing about Caroline Flack is that ITV are absolutely devastated by what happened to her.’ ‘So many people at ITV knew Caroline, including me, and it was unbelievably tragic.
I think that we can never know what is behind suicide. It is not in any way simple. It is a very, very complex thing,’ she added.
