Callum Scott Howells has criticised the overwhelming lack of information that he received in school about the AIDS crisis. The 21-year-old actor was recently propelled into the spotlight for his portrayal of Colin in the new Channel 4 show It's A Sin.

Intertwined with exciting scenes of hedonism and parties, Callum's character is swept up in a whirlwind of city life amid the backdrop of the looming crisis.
Some of his most powerful scenes also speak to the staggering amount of red tape, misunderstanding and cruel mishandling of AIDS patients by the state.
