Sandra Lindsay was given the Pfizer/BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in Queens just before 9.30am.
She spoke of her relief and said she hopes the tide is turning in the battle against the virus. Ms Lindsay said: “It didn’t feel any different from taking any other vaccine. “I feel hopeful today, relieved.
