The Chen-Williams family were recently shocked to discover that Dave was father to longtime resident Maxine (Nikki Sanderson) and fans of the Channel 4 soap have been left wondering how this will impact their lives.Since joining the show in 2021, the Chen-Williams clan have certainly made an impact on the village from becoming involved in romantic entanglements to the reveal of many their shocking links to other villainous residents.However, despite Honour's life taking an unexpected turn this week, actress Vera Chok's life is far less dramatic off-screen - including sweet co-star bonds, a rival soap role and link to a Hollywood film star.Before joining Hollyoaks as new village resident Honour Chen-Willams in 2021, actress Vera had a role in another rival soap.In 2012, Vera starred as Moira Bailey in one episode of ITV soap Coronation Street.From there she has also had huge success with roles in Hollywood films including The Riot Club, Christopher Robin and The Mummy opposite Tom Cruise, where she played a member of a technical team.That is not all though, as she has also lent her voice to numerous video games including Hitman 3, Total War: Three Kingdoms and The Complex.To top it all off, she has also acted in the Podcast series Inexplicables as Susie Broadbent, and is listed as appearing in a film called Les Flaneuses, which is has just finished filming.Vera certainly keeps busy as not only has she had success on screen, she is also a talented theatre performer.Her work has even led to a link with the Academy Award nominated actor and director Kenneth Brannagh, after she starred in one of his company's theatre productions in 2015.As part of Branagh Theatre Live: A Winter's Tale, she played the leading role.
