The rescue team scrambled to the 42 K Street NW in Washington DC, US, where the house fire reportedly took place on Tuesday.The fire crew found six pit bulls trapped in the basement after the residents fled to safety.Footage shared by the DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) on Facebook shows the team rescuing one brown dog on the pavement.The struggling pooch was rushed outside after it was found unconscious under a table.At least three firefighters give water and an oxygen mask to the dog while it gasps for air.The department said on Facebook: "Six dogs were rescued by DC’s bravest and four residents (were) left homeless after a fire damaged their Northwest row.
