Tributes have been paid to a nurse and mum-of-three who has died in hospital after contracting coronavirus. Friends have described Areema Nasreen, who worked at Walsall Manor Hospital, as the 'loveliest person you could ever meet'.

The 36-year-old had wanted to be a nurse since she was a teenager, caring for her nan after she suffered a stroke. Areena's family have said they think she could have contracted Covid-19 'virtually anywhere'.

She was on annual leave when she first started showing symptoms. She was put on a ventilator in intensive care - but although her condition is understood to have improved slightly last week, she took a turn for the worse and died in the early hours of Friday morning, Birmingham Live reports.
